SYNOPSIS

When the brave Scottish general Macbeth receives a prophecy from three witches foretelling his rise to the throne, ambition and temptation drive him and his cunning wife down a dark and bloody path of murder, paranoia, and madness. Our production of Shakespeare’s legendary tragedy reimagines the story in a volatile, modern-era central European state inspired by the turbulence surrounding the Russian Revolution and the rise of the Soviet Union.

actor needed

We are seeking one more performer (male-presenting, late 20s to early 40s) to join our cast in the role of ANGUS, a Scottish nobleman who stands at the center of the kingdom’s shifting loyalties and ultimate rebellion against Macbeth’s bloody reign. The role offers excellent stage time, strong ensemble presence, and only a modest number of lines to learn – a wonderful opportunity to be part of this thrilling production!

Please note: the current blocking for this role includes assisting another actor in lifting/carrying the unconscious Lady Macbeth offstage during one scene.

Interested actors should contact director George Hartpence at george@actorsnetbucks.org and producer Karolina Matyka at karolina@actorsnetbucks.org.
